Congratulations to Wales Karate Federation Chief Executive Officer & Welsh Karate Kai Chief Instructor Paul Scott, on his well-deserved promotion to Shichidan 七段 (7th Dan). Continuing to serve WKF and his Association - Welsh Karate Kai throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The first ever WKF Squad Training session took place, at Llanelli Leisure Centre on Saturday 14th June 2014 from 2.00 - 5.00. The turnout was amazing, with nearly 70 members taking part, in both Kata & Kumite. The "Feedback has been absolutely amazing, with a resounding "Thumbs Up" for all the Coaches. We look forward to seeing an even greater attendance at the next event.

Congratulations to our newly qualified Timekeepers & Scorekeepers and Tatami Coaches. At the Course held at WKF Headquarters in Swansea, on Saturday 14th June 2014, 15 WKF Members from North & South Wales were put through the official process of qualification. Their names have been added to the list of qualified personnel and WKF Database. Well Done everyone! We already have a waiting list for the next Course. Cool!

It is with deep regret, we have to announce the sad passing
of Sensei Beverley Prendergast of Llandudno Karate Association.
As one of the Founding Members of Wales Karate Federation,
Bev was held in high esteem by all her peers and will be sorely missed.
Our condolences go out to all her Family, Friends & Students.

Karate has lost an Ambassador and the World has lost a Wonderful person.

Congratulations to USKO Chief Instructor Jon Robbins on his long overdue and well-deserved promotion to Rokudan 六段 
(6th Dan). 

Jon began his Martial Arts career in 1984 with Clayton Murrain's AMAA. Competing Regionally, Nationally & Internationally in both Kata & Kumite. He became a Professional Instructor in 1987 and formed his Association, "United Sport Karate Organisation" in 1996. This Group has well in excess of 300 Members, throughout the South Wales region.

Jon is active in the development & promotion of the new "Leading Body" for Karate in Wales........"Wales Karate Federation".

Congratulations to Wales Karate Federation Chief Executive Officer & Welsh Karate Kai Chief Instructor Paul Scott, on his long overdue and well-deserved promotion to Rokudan 六段 (6th Dan).

Having started his journey way back in 1972, attaining his "Shodan" in 1983, Paul has risen from Student to Chief Instructor, Competitor to National Coach and established himself in many of the most Senior positions in Welsh Karate over the past 20 years. He continues relentlessly to steer the new "Leading Body" for Karate in Wales........ "Wales Karate Federation".
