Wales Karate Federation will run training Courses to enable the smooth running of it's Competitions. These will be WKF Certificated Qualifications leading to International accredited events. Associations are encouraged to forward their candidates.
 
Great turnout on our earlier Courses
With greater emphasis on Practical evaluation & examination,
a further 9 WKF Members have gained qualifications.

The next Courses will be held at WKF Headquarters in Swansea.
Saturday 11th January 2020 (9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.)
Saturday 21st March 2020 (9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.)

Registration is required in advance.
The Course will include a Practical afternoon session, both in Kata & Kumite.
This Course will be run by fully qualified WKF Officials.

WKF Certificates will be issued following completion of each module.
The following create the qualification pathways & process.

Timekeeper/Scorekeeper = 1 Session/Course & 1 Practical Exam
Judge B = 2 Sessions/Courses & 1 Practical Exam
Judge A = 3 Sessions/Courses & 2 Practical Exams
Referee B = Judge 12 Months
Referee A = Referee B 12 Months
Tatami Chief = Referee A 12 Months & Practical Examination/Evaluation

All the above is the minimum criteria regarding time
and subject to qualifying examination results.

The WKF Chief Referee & Assistant will Database all qualifying individuals for inclusion in Regional, National & International Competition. ALL WKF Referee/Judge qualifications, hold a 2 year expiry or "Shelf Life".

Officials will be encouraged to attend regular training Courses and appropriate Competition events to maintain the standard of their performances and keep up-to-date on changes in Rules & Regulations.

Opportunities for advancement will be dependent on competence and performance. There will be NO restriction on any individual that shows promise. Candidates will NOT receive bias as a result of Gender, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Disability or Age.

The WKF Chief Referee will encourage Association Courses & Competitions, that qualify Wales Karate Federation Officials. ALL Courses will be run in an environment that is friendly and encouraging, in the hope that ALL Associations will forward candidates to qualify.
